VR2 Overview
It offers three surface finishes (silver anodized semi-matte aluminum; black anodized semi-matte aluminum; VR2 features white painted semi-matte aluminum) with many customizable features, including programmable side RGB lighting that can follow controls defined by color, customizable screensaver logo uploads, and options for vertical or horizontal mounting.
The VR2 wall panel controller is designed to fit the provided bracket and is secured at the top with two countersunk screws and at the bottom with two countersunk screws. The bracket is surface-mounted to the wall with four screws.
The VR2 is programmed using our D-Net software, which can be set up to allow control of one or more NST audio processors connected to the same network as the wall panel.
The VR2 allows for customizable remote access to multiple pages for the following parameters:
- Channel and matrix gain
- Routing and channel mute
- Preset recall
- OEM IP commands (for projectors, etc.)
When panels are added to the VR2, they will display in real-time, and there is no need for a 'save' process. This configuration information is stored indefinitely in the VR2. Multiple VR2 panels (and VR1 panels) can be configured to operate in a single location where different control panel sets are defined.
The VR2 features a real-time clock and calendar (with daylight saving time compensation). This can be used to trigger repeated memory calls. For example, resetting the system to known defaults every morning, or controlling EQ or levels through preset calls at different times of the day/night.
Different user levels can also be set up and protected with PIN codes for each user level. Each user can be granted access to any or all defined panels, and this system can be used for 'vertical' security control (thus, user permissions are based on credentials) or 'horizontal' control (thus, creating users for group control, for example, 'lobby' users can only see volume and source selection for the lobby).
The VR2 can also be configured 'offline' and download the configuration upon installation.
Once set up, the VR2 requires no technical knowledge to operate, allowing venue staff to easily operate the device. The full-color LCD display allows installation engineers to label all pages, providing venue staff with a clear, simple, and easy-to-use remote control to adjust system audio configuration and volume at multiple locations throughout the venue.
