CPS18SP 18-inch Subwoofer
The CPS-18SP is a high-output, extremely powerful subwoofer designed for use with the coaxial CPS-214P point source module. The CPS-18SP utilizes a custom low-distortion 18-inch (4-inch QUATTRO input/output copper voice coil) speaker with FEA-optimized ceramic magnet circuit and proprietary Malt Cross technology cooling system. It features unique NCR (Neck Coupling Reinforcement) and is optimized for bandpass configurations. The specially designed ultra-rigid internal wood bracing reduces unwanted vibrations, eliminates any noise, reduces distortion and provides clear sound. Meanwhile, the bass port is designed with a flared mouth to eliminate any turbulence caused by sharp edges in the sound wave path. The enclosure is constructed from high-grade birch plywood and coated with polyurea for increased durability and weather protection.
